This bathroom was built in the 50's when bathroom tile was installed on a bed of concrete and wire lathe. Any contractor will tell you that this is a difficult and expensive demolition. It was built to last a lifetime. Unfortunately the colors, pink and grey, where not. Refinishing is the perfect solution for a dated bathroom.
BEFORE: Beautiful pink tile with an obtrusive white access panel.
BEFORE: The tile is in great shape except for the dated color.
BEFORE: The pink tile covered all the walls from floor to ceiling. My favorite supervisor is in the doorway.
FINISHED: After prepping, the tile, access panel and tub were refinished with a bisque color. Notice the access panel has all but disappeared.
The new lighter color makes the space seem larger and more open.
New lights and a new mirror where added to complete the transformation. A clean and modern look.
The worn grey bathtub is now bright, smooth and easy to clean.
Hi Mary, Yes I would highly recommend Dennis. We had pink tile from floor to ceiling and he sprayed all the tile and the tub and it looks wonderful - like a new bathroom. He was not happy with a couple of runs in the tub and came back and buffed them out. After buffing it, he then felt that the coating was a little too thin and came back the next day and reapplied another coat. We thought the tub looked fine, but he does not want to settle for less than the absolute best he can deliver. We have friends that had their tiled bathroom redone and the man who did theirs used a roller and ours looks a thousand times better. Dennis is honest, hard working, his prices are a bit under what we had found on the internet examples of what it would cost to resurface tubs, tile, etc. We are totally satisfied with the results and the great thing is, that if some problem would arise, he is the type of person to come back and quickly fix whatever the problem was, and that is hard to find these days! Let me know if I can be of any further help. Sue
